onion Tomato Chutney

It is made with tomato , onion , red chilli etc.. it is usually served with breakfast dishes like idli, dosa . It can be also served with sandwich. I added ginger garlic cloves which I like this very much. Chutneys are mostly made in every home and every day. Most of the parents easy job is to made chutney as a condiment of dosa or idli . It is usally take only 10 minutes so it is very easy to prepare. There are many varieties of chutney . Today we saw how to prepare tomato chutney. Onion Chutney

  Course: chutney Cuisine: Indian Author: Nivetha Jagadeesh   An onion chutney with spicy, sweetness and it is perfect to eat with dosa, idli . It is made by using very easy ingredients. Let’s gets started our receipe.   onion chutney Ingredients: Oil – 1 tsp Red chilli - 3 Onion – 2 large chopped Salt – To Taste Tamarind – small piece For seasoning : Oil – 1 tsp Mustard seeds   - 1 tsp Curry leaves – few   Steps: Heat oil in a pan , add red chilli and cook till it turns into golden. Add onions, salt and mix well. Add tamarind and mix well. Cook for 3 minutes. Transfer it in to a blender and make it in to a fine puree. Serve it in a bowl. Heat oil and add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Pour it in to the chutney and mix well.   Notes: You should also add ginger, garlic cloves in this chutney. Serve it with Idli, dosa.  

Peanut Chutney

It is also useful as a part of weight loss diet . it reduces the heart disease. Let’s gets started our receipe.   peanut chutney Ingredients: Roasted Peanut/ ground nut – 1 cup grated coconut – 1/2 cup red   chilli - 3 Salt – As Needed Water - Required Oil – 1 tbsp Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp Curry leaves – few Steps : In a mixie blender add roasted peanut, grated coconut, red chili, salt and required water. Blend it to the smooth paste and serve it to the serving bowl. For tempering, heat a oil in a pan add mustard seeds then, add few curry leaves. Turn off the flame and pour it over the chutney.   Notes: We should also add green chilli. If you like sesame seeds you should also blend it with other ingredients. Mint chutney

Mint add a cooling sensation and easy in digestion. Coriander chutney

It is a perfect match for sandwich, samosa, idli, dosa. Let’s gets started our receipe.   Coriander chutney Ingredients: Coriander leaves – 1 bunch Green chilli - 2 Garlic cloves – 1 teaspoon Ginger – 1 small teaspoon Lemon juice – 1/4 teaspoon Salt – As Needed water – required   steps: wash the coriander leaves and roughly chop them. Add it to the mixie jar, along with add green chilli, garlic cloves, ginger, lemon juice, salt ,required water and blend them in to a thick and smooth paste. Transfer it in to a bowl and serve it with rice, idli and dosa.   Notes: You can also dry roast channa dal, urad dal and blend it. You can also add grated coconut in this receipe.

Chutney is a gluten free , spicy condiment. Let’s gets started our receipe.     Coconut Chutney Ingredients: For Blending: Fried gram – 2 to 3 table spoon Coconut – 1/2 cup Green Chilli - 2 Ginger – 1 small piece Salt - Required Water – As Needed For tempering: Oil – 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds – 1/4 teaspoon Curry leaves - few   Steps: Add 1/2 cup coconut to a blender jar. Add 2 to 3 table spoon of fried gram. Then add 2 green chillies , 1 small piece of ginger and required amount of salt. Pour 1/4 cup of water , close the blender and begin to blend to a smooth chutney. After blending transfer it to a serving bowl.
