Onion Chutney

An onion chutney with spicy, sweetness and it is perfect to eat with dosa, idli . It is made by using very easy ingredients. Let’s gets started our receipe.

Ingredients:

Oil – 1 tsp

Red chilli - 3

Onion – 2 large chopped

Salt – To Taste

Tamarind – small piece

For seasoning :

Oil – 1 tsp

Mustard seeds  - 1 tsp

Curry leaves – few

 

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a pan , add red chilli and cook till it turns into golden.
  • Add onions, salt and mix well.
  • Add tamarind and mix well. Cook for 3 minutes.
  • Transfer it in to a blender and make it in to a fine puree.
  • Serve it in a bowl.
  • Heat oil and add mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • Pour it in to the chutney and mix well.

 

Notes:

  • You should also add ginger, garlic cloves in this chutney.
  • Serve it with Idli, dosa.
