Mint chutney is fresh and flavourful receipe. It gives a
bright colour and good flavour. It gives perfect match for idli,dosa. Mint add
a cooling sensation and easy in digestion. Let’s gets started our receipe.
Mint Chutney |
Ingredients:
For dry roast:
Channa dal – 1 tbsp
Urad dal – 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
For blending:
Mint leaves – 1 bunch
Ginger – 1 small piece
Garlic cloves – 3 to 4
Grated coconut – 2 tsp
Tamarind – small size
Red chilli - 3
Salt – As Needed
Water - Required
For tempering:
Oil – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – few
Steps:
- In a hot pan, dry roast channa dal, urad dal ,cumin seeds and turn off the flame keep it aside.
- In a mixie jar, add fresh mint leaves , ginger, garlic cloves, grated coconut, tamarind, red chilli, required salt and water.
- Begin to blend it for a smooth paste . once, it is done transfer it to a serving bowl.
- Now , heat 1 tsp oil in a pan add mustard seeds, then add few curry leaves and pour over the chutney.
- Serve it with idli, dosa.
Notes:
- You can also skip the tempering step.
- Ensure you can use fresh mint leaves in this receipe, it gives a good flavour.
- Do not use the stem of the mint leaves.
