simple potato fry

Potato is one of the dishes that can easily prepare for a quick lunch or dinner side dish. Let’s gets started our receipe.

Ingredients:

Oil – 2 tbsp

Mustard seeds – 1 tsp

Jeera – 1 tsp

Potato – 1 cup

Salt – To Taste

Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp

Red Chilli powder – 2tsp

 

Steps:

  •          Peel and chop potatoes and place them in a bowl of water for 15 minutes.
  •          After 15 minutes drain off the potatoes and cool them completely.
  •          Heat a pan and add 2 tbsp of oil once, the oil gets heated add mustard seeds and jeera wait for until it gets crackle.
  •          Now, add potatoes and mix evenly in the pan.
  •          Saute, until potatoes gets half-cooked.
  •          Add spices- turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and mix the spices with the potatoes.
  •          Cook potatoes until it gets crispy from all sides.
  •          Once, it gets crispyness turn off the flame and serve it hot.

 

Notes:

  •          Serve it hot with sambar rice, curd rice its make perfect match.
  •          You can garnish with some chopped coriander leaves if you want.
